I knew it was going to be cold this morning, but I didn’t want tointerrupt my flow… As I have finally started getting into a training rhythm, I went out. It was fresh to say the least, but armed with three layers I started to warm up. I expected to struggle with all these clothes on, that are not really running specific clothing.
It went really well although it was cold, extremely windy and I had all these layers on. Which made me feel so motivated, I think I have moved past the first hurdle when it comes down to getting back into running. It feels great.
So great that I have started to look around for a “fun run” to sign up for. AND I have decided to extend my run, which I am really excited about. (Sad I know) It will be the longest run I have done in years. Before you start thinking that sounds so impressive, stop… It’s only 8.5 km, but for me a step in the right direction.
So I feel like my running year has started off really well, so well that I really think it’s time to upgrade my running shoes. Have my eye on a couple of shoes; Asics, New Balance and Saucony… Any advice on good shoes would be great.
